“I’m an actress.” Film Movement has unveiled an official trailer for a Czech film called Her Body, a raw & intimate feminist drama from filmmaker Natálie Císarovská making her feature directorial debut. This first premiered last year at the 2023 Karlovy Vary Film Festival and already opened in theaters in Czechia last year. It’s now set for a December 2024 release soon in the US in very limited theaters. When a spinal injury shatters Andrea’s dream of success as an Olympic diving champion, she goes on to make a name for herself as an adult film star. Based on a true story. A successful athlete, and member of the Olympic team, Andrea Absolonová’s life changes after a vertebra injury forces her to end of her sports career. Instead she moves on into nude modeling and eventually becomes a successful and well-known porn actress in Czechia. Starring Natalia Germani as Andrea, with Cyril Dobrý, Denisa Baresová, Zuzana Mauréry, Martin Finger, Zuzana Stivínová, and Tereza Svejdová. This initially premiered at the 2023 Karlovy Vary Film Festival last year & opened in Czechia last fall. Film Movement will open Císarovská’s Her Body film in select US theaters starting on December 20th, 2024.
