“We all have our graves. Every error, so many devils…” Epic Pictures Group has unveiled an official trailer for an action thriller movie called Winter: Battleground, out on VOD coming up in April. Another new dystopian what-if-AI-ruled-us plot set in the near future about AI soldiers, surveillance satellites, and other very bad tech threats. Directed by David Christopher Pitt, Winter: Battleground stars Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (from the UFC Hall of Fame, Cobra Kai, The Equalizer 2) as the one-man battalion fighting back against AI and control. Hunted by an AI-controlled regime, a rogue soldier hiding in the forest must outfight elite assassins, cybernetic soldiers, and corrupted machines to stop an artificial intelligence system from seizing total control of America. Winter launches a deadly guerrilla war of traps, ambushes & raw survival. As combat satellites enforce outlawed human speech and soldiers end up controlled by corrupted machine code, allegiances fracture and the true madness of the ruling AI is revealed. “Cowboy” Cerrone stars along with Johnny Messner & Kayleigh Gilbert. This ominous voiceover at the start is crazy, then it just gets crazier with a mix of bonkers action and dystopian sci-fi madness. Might actually be entertaining to watch.
