“That is the first rule of content creation – give the people what they want.” That can be dangerous! IFC has debuted a second official trailer for the disturbing horror film titled Faces of Death, a modern meta horror remake of the one of the most infamous cult movies ever. “You can’t unsee it.” Dropping into theaters this April if you’re brave enough for it. A woman, employed as a website content moderator, comes across a series of extremely violent videos reproducing death scenes from a cult film – the original Faces of Death (from 1978). That old film played up the “is it real?” angle to make viewers sick. This remake stars Barbie Ferreira & Dacre Montgomery, with Josie Totah, Aaron Holliday, Jermaine Fowler, and Charli XCX. It’s from the same director of Cam and How to Blow Up a Pipeline. “We’re in awe of Goldhaber’s reimagining of Faces of Death. His take is unsettling, timely, and provocative, and we can’t wait to unleash it in theaters everywhere this spring.” The freakiest trailer yet (watch the other one) – gross and unsettling and provocative. But just what it needs to get the attention of anyone interested in buying a ticket. Will you?
Here’s the second trailer (+ more posters) for Daniel Goldhaber’s horror Faces of Death, from YouTube:

You can watch the teaser trailer for Goldhaber’s Faces of Death film right here and the first official trailer.
Faces of Death continues the exploration of the original film’s infamous ‘Is it real or not?’ conceit continues as a woman (Barbie Ferreira) working as a content moderator for a major video platform discovers what appears to be re-enactments of murders from the original film. In an online world where nothing can be trusted, she must determine whether the violence is fiction, or unfolding in real time. Faces of Death is a horror remake directed by acclaimed indie filmmaker Daniel Goldhaber, director of the horror film Cam and How to Blow Up a Pipeline previously, plus episodes from the “50 States of Fright” horror series. The screenplay is written by Daniel Goldhaber & Isa Mazzei. They explain their inspiration: “It’s very important to us to honor the parts of that aspect of the original. We have done our best in the movie to do that within the bounds of the law.” Produced by John Burrud, Greg Gilreath, Adam Hendricks, Susan Montford, Don Murphy. This hasn’t premiered at any film festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. IFC debuts Goldhaber’s Faces of Death horror film in select US theaters starting April 10th, 2026 this spring.
